How gate checking works
Your own Seller Central, checked by the extension.
The extension checks each ASIN with Amazon's own listing check, using the Seller Central account signed in to your browser. It keeps running even if you leave the page. ASIN.so never connects to your Amazon API.
| Result | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Ungated | You can list it. |
| Approval | Amazon wants approval first. |
| Restricted | You cannot list it. |
| Unknown or Error | The check did not finish. It is retried on the next run. |
- Results expire after 30 days and are checked again. The old result stays until the new one is in.
- An error never overwrites a good result.
- There are two ways to handle gating, and you can use either or both: automatic gate checks, and marking whole brands gated or avoided by hand.
Heads up: Stay signed in to your own US Seller Central account. The check uses whichever account is signed in.
